Me again, complaining a bit… So in an effort to make mobile web more user friendly, Swisscom has set up some time ago a SMS service to get info about the status of your data traffic. Send “STATUS” to number 444 and the remaining MB credit will be displayed! Yeap… what about when you get over your limit ? can’t you guys display how much MB I have used over my limit to know how much more I will have to pay ?
Today this message was not very helpful for me, I already knew I was over my quota but I wanted to know by how much… I just needed to know how much the service I am using is going to cost! Simple no ? I do not understand…
On a side note… I dislike the new Swisscom corporate branding.

Google released a small add-on for N-Series or E-Series that lets you launch a search on your mobile with a single click. You do not really see the search functionality, it is there, you make it visible just be one click, enter your search terms and fire up your search. Awesome.

The hosting business is not as easy as it could seem, I agree on that one, but I had a really hard time with Nexlink (which get bought by Green.ch). I was a customer for quite some time and I was very happy about the service but then at some point it get really bad, with an expensive-not-effective hotline (I hate waiting on the phone while I am charged CHF2.-/min – like anyone else). The quality of service pretty much changed when they get bought, not sure if there is a relation there – but I ended up giving up and moved all my stuff to Infomaniak with absolutely not problem so far.
Why I am writing this? well I received quite a few comments the last two weeks on an old blog (one I used while I was working for a blog provider :-). Probably people comming from Google and complaining as I was on Nexlink. Looks like I made the right move at the right time.
Not only the technical and the service suck but apparently their administration is lost as well as I keep on getting bills and reminders for a service I quit few months back :-(
Just found out about the Special Award about the Best Swiss Football Website and the deadline is pushed to March 1st! Should I try to participate ? knowing the fee is CHF 500.- ? mmmh… better read the conditions first :-)

All speeches are online thanks to a partnership with TSR/nouvo.ch so you can catch up with the conference (but hey guys @ TSR, where are the permalinks for the video???), but the “networking/meeting people” part and the workshops would remain missing.
